I can not see my appointments in Outlook 2000 on XP Home
Edition. The program used to work OK but I had a
computer problem & had to format C & reinstall
everything. Since my reinstallation I can't see
appointments.
I can see my appointments if I switch to view "By
Category". The top looks like "categories: (none)(66
items). But no Start or End time.
I can see all appointments on my Pocket PC - even the
ones I type in on my main PC (but can't see on my main
PC).
I tried using the patch "/Cleanviews." But it did not
change. (Side note: When I typed in search files &
folders for Outlook.exe I got the regular path in program
files but I also got two other folders - "Outlook.exe-
179DEC04.pf' and "Outlook.exe-3784AE71.pf" in
folder "C:\Windows\Prefetch").

Someone told me to use the Inbox Repair Tool to do
scanpst.exe. I found the Inbox repair tool and I typed in
scanpst.exe and I got the message "The file
C:\Programs\Common Files\ System\Mapi\1033\NT\Scanpst.exe
is in use by another application. Close Microsoft Outlook
and all othe mail- enabled applications, and try again."
But no applications were open at the time. I even turned
off MS Instant Messanger on the taskbar. I searched .pst
and got "C:\Documents and Settings\kelly\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook" so I entered
that path but I got a message saying that was not a
complete file name.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem, and have spent a week of
hard searching and posting on other forums, but no luck.
I also noticed the time stamp in e-mail messages is
missing. I ran the Inbox Repair Tool, and it said
my .pst had no errors. IN other words, it did not repair
anything. I tried opening the .pst in Outlook on another
machine, and it is unreadable.
If I lose OUtlook functionality, I may have to get rid of
XP.
