I'm having the same problem, and have spent a week of
hard searching and posting on other forums, but no luck.
I also noticed the time stamp in e-mail messages is
missing. I ran the Inbox Repair Tool, and it said
my .pst had no errors. IN other words, it did not repair
anything. I tried opening the .pst in Outlook on another
machine, and it is unreadable.
If I lose OUtlook functionality, I may have to get rid of
XP.
