Cannot use print spooler with HP6110

I cannot use the print spooler with any user other than the adminstrator on
Microsoft XP. This just started after I loaded SBC DSL and downloaded
service pack 2. On previous advice, I deleted Norton Anti-virus, including
going to their web site and going thru all the Windows registry deletions
manually. Still no change in my ability to print. What can I do?
