IBM, PENTIII, 733MHZ, 628MB RAM
CD RW - TEAC CD W54E

AFTER INSTALLING WINDOWS XP CD drive CANNOT READ FILES
FROM CD.

Previous version OS was ME
Loaded and installed all xp updates.
Searched TEAC site for drivers.
Looked on IBM site for answers.

TEAC statement that no drivers required as unit is win
compatable and has passed teh compatability test. All
user needs to do is plug the unit in.

Drive came with motherboard and packaged with ME.
Everything fine.

Loaded XP update for ME and nothing but problems.
Cannot load Adaptec easy CD creator as software does not
recognise XP OS.

Need help.
Phil.
