I have several computers running Windows 2000 Pro with
pcAnywhere on them. On one of the computer's, when it is
locked you cannot type in the user or passwors boxes
remotely but can type in the boxes when at the computer.
Today it went a step further. The same problem of not
being able to type remotely happened but this time you
could not type in them at all even you where using the
computer's keyboard. All connections were good and the
only way to gain access was to turn off the computer and
let it reboot. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Leigh Chambers

Try a different keyboard.

I have changed the keyboard for the host machine. The
keyboard is my notebook keyboard. It works fine when
typing on locally and on the host fine until the host is
locked. When trying to type the password or user on the
host machine it will not type but if you have someone at
th host machine they can type in the user/password box.

This suggests that the keyboard driver did not load. You can
check this in the Device Manager. The FAQs on the laptop's
manufacturer's home site might have some answers to your
problem.
