I am trying to get video from a tape in the camcorder and I cannot access it.
I do all that is indicated in the camera's instruction's as well as in the
movie maker's instructions and I first get an error message indicating the
the camera is either incorrectly conneted to the USB port (which it is not)
or that it is not in web cam mode. It doesn't matter whether I put it in web
cam mode or not because then I get an error message indicating that the USB
is disconnected.
If I run a hardware check, all shows up as being correct.

Please help, this is impossibly frustrating

I had the same thing it now works for me - try re-installing the panansonic
USB driver and ensure you have the Panasonic menu set in plyaback - USB
function -Web camera - I just captured my first video using MM2
