I have a Word 2000 document, and for some reason, Outline Viewing is
permanently switched on.

I've closed Word, no joy. I've re-booted my PC, no joy.

Every document I try to create, or every existing document I open,
appears in Outline Mode. I've tried switching to every other view,
Normal, Web & Print, but they all display in Outline Mode.

The Outlining toolbar is not available to me, unless I specifically
switch to Outline View, but for some reason, I cannot change to a
normal view!

Help!!!

Duncs

It's OK, got it fixed.

I had somehow managed to switch on View All Formatting marks

Not sure why that made you think you were in Outline view.
