This is the error message
cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the outlook window. The
set of folders cannot be opened. The file
C:\users\John\appDate\local\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst is not a personal
folders file.

Scan your pst-file for errors with scanpst.exe.
