Hi
I'm trying to setup a user so that she can view someone
else's calendar. I have been able to give her access to
other peoples calendars, however i can't give her access
to one particular user. even though other people can
access that particular users calendar. I have given her
all the relevent permissions needed to do so in exchange
2000 and at the target machine, but still an error msg
of "you do not have sufficiant permisions to view this
item" is given. Don't know what else to do....HELP

Thank you

I recently had problems similar do yours. I couldn’t get
permissions set by going to tools / options / delegates.
But if you right click on your calendar icon and go to
properties there is a tab for permissions. This worked
for me. I hope this helps you. Good luck.

I know that this is a pretty basic reply, but has the
mailbox/calendar that cannot be opened by others ever been
opened by the "real" user. We have had cases where if the
mailbox has never been officially opened by the real user
account then this type of access as well as OWA doesn't
work.

The only way I've seen to be able to share the calendar
is to use Echange Server. I went to slipstick.com and
there are a bunch of programs that will allow you to
share the calendar, but they are pretty useless and
either don't work, or require you to redo your calendar
in their own folder. I am pretty sure Exhcange Server is
the only way to do it right now. No one from Microsoft
or technical people I know have not been able to shed
light on this situation. Best bet is exchange. That's
about it.
