Cannot Set up Home Network

I have XP and am trying to use the network wizard to set
up a home network. Before it gets through the process I
get a box saying "Spooler SubSystem APP....." I have seen
that some firewalls may cause this. I use McAfee and have
uninstalled it, uninstalled my printer, unhooked
everything, all to no avail. I still get the same message
and no network. Anyone found a solution?

I tried disabling the spooler and it eliminated the error message but Network Wizard still did not set up the network. I can't see even the computer I'm working on.
