I am running XP PRO with all updates included up to 7th
Jan 2004. BIOS to 22.04.03. Matrox Parhelia 128 with
latest XP drivers (I know this card supports the refresh
rates I want to set).
Two Hyundai ImageQuest Q17 TFTs connected to DVI ports of
Parhelia.
Resolutions setting for wach monitor is 1280 x 1024.
Problem: I know the screens will support up to 75hz
refresh rates but I cannot set any higher than 60. In
Display Properties>Settings>Advanced>Monitor window The
check box and text for 'Hide modes that this monitor
cannot display' is greyed out (unselectable) & the
highest refresh rate showing is 60 Hertz.

I have:
changed the monitor drivers so they are both listed as
the standard PnP type.
removed (using settings) one of the monitors and tried to
set just one of them.
Changed the resolutions to lower setting = 1024 x 768.

None of which worked... I am just about ready to try the
hammer and duct tape approach, unless any of you have a
better idea??

Did you install drivers for the videocards?

That might help. Altho u may have the monitor
drivers. It doesnt necessarily mean u can change
the resolution, or refresh.

With the videocard drivers installed you may have
a better chance.
