hello!

i can't recall the last time i used the Light Border and Dark Border, but
today these table properties are grayed out and i am unable to set them. i
have used them in the past, but not today!

i created a new web, new page, new table.
for Table Properties, i changed the border size from 1 to 10, but i am
unable to change the Light Border, Dark Border attributes, although i am
able to change "Color".

under Cell Properties, everything within "Borders" is grayed out, even
"Borders".

i've played around with different bg colors for table & cell properties and
that works, just not the Border colors.

i've checked and unchecked "Show both cells and table borders". didn't help.

i'm having problems with a brand new web, new page, new table.

i am working with FP2002
WinME
Pentium III 700Mhz

for a quick fix (or something i can try to see if it will work), can someone
give me a sample line of html code where these are set?

But CSS has no such light border and dark border styles. It's just border,
doncha know?

That's right
- only the table border is applied w/ a style if you have a style sheet attached to the page

The light / dark cell borders is an IE thing set with say bordercolorlight="#008080" bordercolordark="#00FF00"
- and the cell border sizes are not editable if you use FP to create them

User needs to Set Tools Page Options Authoring Browser to IE only

i went to Tools | Page Options | Compatibility | Browsers
and changed from msie & navigator ==> msie ONLY
and border options were again available!

You're welcome. So - using an IE only effect is OK for you? Be aware that
when doing this, other browsers will just see a black border. CSS gives you
a bit more flexibility than this.

no, not really! but, i'm sure glad for the solution - it was driving me
crazy! i'd like to learn more about CSS. however, with three kids between
6 y/o and 3 months i could really use a good link for "CSS 101", if you've
got one!
