Help, this vista is driving me crazy! Can't send to certain email addresses
and also won't open any attachments that use slides. I'm not very computer
literate and have spent numerous weekends going mad with this!

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Fw: Fw: encourage', Account: 'popmail.yahoo.com.ph',
Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com.au', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

Either you're not using Vista or you don't have Outlook Express. I can't
tell which.

Not on the same instance.

If what you are experiencing happens in both OE on XP & Windows Mail in
Vista, then your server settings are wrong on both machines or the server is
experiencing problems?

If you have McAfee or Norton uninstall them. If you have a different
anti-virus turn off email scanning in the anti-virus. You will not lose any
protection.

I'm not familiar with the particular yahoo.com mail servers you are
using. It seems a bit strange to use an incoming server in the
Philippines, and an outgoing mail server in Australia.
Check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to make sure
you are using the correct servers. Here in the US, premium Yahoo
accounts use ports 995 and 465, with SSL, see
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...op/pop-30.html
