Windows Vista came with my new Emachines comp. I was able to set up an email
account and send/receive for a few days..... then.... NOTHING!!! I have
tried everything that I can think of and no cigars!! .... I also cannot seem
to view pictures or any documents from discs that are inserted into my CD +
RW / DVD hard drive!! It makes the sound as if it is trying to read it. Then
I get a message when I turn on my comp that there is documents ready to burn
onto a disc. As if it has downloaded onto my comp instead of allowing me to
view the disc.....

Very Irritated!!

Did it ever work right?
I would take it to them to fix or replace.

Your CD/DVD/viewing pictures issue is beyond the scope of this forum.

As far as Windows Mail, do you get any error message when
trying to send or receive mail?
