i cannot send or receive in outlook 2007 why?

i have just installed office 2007, and when trying to send/receive i keep
getting error reports of not being able to locate my po and smtp servers. i
still have xp on my desktop, and have no problem with outlook

Did you setup your mail servers correctly?
