I cannot send emails to anyone with yahoo.com email address. This only
happens in Outlook. If I go directly to my verizon webmail, I can send the
emails to yahoo.com extension with no issues. For some reason outlook just
isn't recognizing this extension. I've tried many different yahoo.com email
addresses and I'm consistently getting the following message:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: Friday
Sent: 3/25/2008 8:18 AM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
'Jaime Zales' on 3/25/2008 8:18 AM
550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias: (E-Mail Removed)

Many thanks!

Never publish a real address in a newsgroup. Jaime Zales isn't going to
appreciate all the spam and virues she (he?) will get now because you've
publish the address.

This is a server-side message. Your outgoing server is stating that Yahoo
is telling it the address is bad. If you're using a contact to send the
address, open the contact record, double-click the e-mail address and make
sure the address is correct.

Its not just this particular email address. Its ALL addresses with a
yahoo.com extension. I myself have a yahoo.com email and I can't email
myself from Outlook. I get the same error message.

Nonetheless, it's still a server message. Your server can't talk to Yahoo,
apparently.

Its working now, so it must have been a verizon/yahoo issue. Also, do you
know how I can edit my original post on the discussion board to remove the
email address?

There is no way to edit already-made posts.

Your email address ((E-Mail Removed)) in Outlook differs from your Yahoo
address

Get into Outlook, go to ACCOUNT, email address and correct it.

Could you explain your "solution"? Jessica has not posted "her" email
address, and the error is from some SMTP server. Jessica does not include
sufficient information to know whether it is her SMTP message submission
server (how would it know a 'yahoo.com' email address is an 'illegal
alias'), or the Yahoo! gateway mail server (which definitely would know)?
