I can send but cannot recieve mail thru windows mail vista. My service is
thru comcast and I have a wireless router that I access with my laptop. Here
is the message I get when there is a message in my OUTBOX and I hit the
send/recieve tab...

The connection to the server has failed. Subject '', Account:
'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Can someone please help???

When connected to ComCast, neither ComCast nor Bellsouth will allow you to
use the Bellsouth SMTP server. Try resetting your account to use ComCast's
SMTP server:

How do I set up/configure Outlook Express for email?

These instructions work for Windows Mail as well.
