Cannot select default audio device

I had the exact same problem with the exact same card!
What you do from here is you completely remove everything.
(I know, that sucks, but it worked for me!) Then
physically remove the card, let it sit out for awhile (to
disepate any charge), then stick it back in and reinstall
everything. And then, hopefully, it should work.
Hopefully, that is, hopefully.
