Just installed Windows XP. Wasn't working quite as quickly
as it should. I found out that the only user
was "corrupt". Decided to re-boot. Since then I can no
longer log into windows as there are no users (not even
guest) I can choose. The area is completely blank and no
error message appears. Any other solution possible than
having to re-install? Thanks.

For XP Pro, press CTRL-ALT-DEL twice at the Welcome Screen and you'll get the old Win2K style logon. Enter Administrator and any password that you set on that account at setup.

For XP Home, you must boot the computer into Safe Mode to access the built in Adminstrator account.
