I recently upgraded from Outlook Express 6 to Outlook 2003. I was able to send and receive e-mail in Outlook 2003 and Express. But, now when I turn on my PC and choose to logon to any user, I no longer see that I have an unread message to view. I have to open into Outlook 2003 (or Express) and hit send/receive.

I read somewhere that Outllok 2003 does not allow to view the unread messages at startup, but it said you can as long at Outlook 6 is your default e-mail package - which it now is. Even with Outlook Express as the default, I cannot see my unread message counts at startup - and this all started after I installed Outlook 2003. Bottom line, I want to see my uread message count at startup and don't care which Outlook I use to get it. Thanks in advance to someone who can help

Jay
