On my small office network, my new laptop cannot connect
to the server (or the printers managed by the server). I
can connect the other 6 computers on the LAN. What am I
missing in the setup?

Windows 2000 SP4

Hello,

There are a number of things that can affect connectivity.

What subnet IP range are you using?
Can you ping the server?
What is the laptops IP address and what is the IP address of the server?
Are the clients using static IP's or DHCP?
Is the laptop a wireless client?
Did you mean that the laptop can connect TO the other 6 computers or that
the other 6 can connect to the server?
Is the client running any personal firewall?
