I cannot see the reply, it is blank

When only one of my contacts replies to an email I have sent, no text appears
in that email. I see it briefly when it flashes up in the bottom right hand
corner (as it does for all my emails) but when it hits my inbox I can see no
reply. It is from an NTLWorld account, all other NTL users are fine.
