I cannot see the pictures that I have imported into powerpoint. They appear
if I choose SLIDESHOW and view the show but I cannot see them in the slide
view where I want to crop/edit them. Even older files where I could see them
before are no longer viewable. The text is not affected. I tried changing
the resolution of my laptop i.e 1920X1200 to 800X600, colors from "true" to
"high" , even reinstalled Office XP but that did not help. I was able to see
the pictures a few months ago but it stopped one day when I was making a
presentation with high resolution photos. My laptop has 3.2GHZ prcessor with
1 GB RAM so I don't think that is a problem. Can someone please help???

My initial thought would be a graphics card problem. What graphics card is
in your laptop - does it use dedicated VRAM - and how much ram? If the card
is "up to specs" as I expect it should be, how big is the presentation - are
the imported images extremely large? Lastly, check the manufactures website
to assure you have the latest video drivers (especially if you have recently
installed Service Pack 2 for Windows XP).

Did you upgrade to PowerPoint 2003 recently? And not install Service Pack 1?
If so, download and install SP1 and everything should be OK.

Kind regards,
Ute
