I am running Outlook 2007 SP 1 on Windows XP Professional SP 3. My messages
say I am reading in HTML and yet I am not able to see any pictures that have
been embedded by the sender. When I go directly into Hotmail, the picture is
an attachment and I can open it up. However in Outlook there is not picture
and there is no attachment. I have not been able to reslove this problem, can
anyone help, Please?

First check your security setting in Outlook, change it from Restricted to
Internet.

Then delete/empty your secure temp files for more info on that see this:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/817878

Good Luck, sometimes it will keep happening and you have to keep deleting
that file.

Right idea, wrong version of Outlook. For Outlook 2007, 'Tools|Trust
Center|Automatic Download'; the setting of interest is "Don't download
pictures automatically in HTML messages or RSS items" which is checked by
default and should be unchecked to allow pictures. The advice about the
Secure Temp folder is valid and applies to Outlook 2007.

Hal,

Thank you for your reply. That box has already been unchecked (did when I
originally setup Outlook). Even with this box unchecked, I cannot see the
pictures that are embedded.

I meant in the messages themselves. What do you see in place of the images?
Are you using Outlook at home or in a corporate environment?

Brian,

Where the photo is supposed to be it is a blank field. In fact I cannot move
the cursor to the top of the page as the picture is taking up the document.

I am using Outlook in both environments, Home and Office.

I tried this: created a message and sent to myself, embedding the photo.
When I recieved I was able to see the photo. It seems I cannot see photos
from only two of the people sending me messages. One service provider is
bellsouth.net and the other is netzero.net. One of the senders is using
Windows 98, the other is using Windows XP home. Could you try sending me a
message to my email ((E-Mail Removed)) and embed a photo?
