I have run my virus and adware/spyware programs to clean
my laptop and I still can't do any searches through IE
6.0. I was, for a time, able to do so with the Netscape
browser but now I can't even use it. I can go to web pages
but if I type in my search, it comes up with "the page
cannot be found...HTTP 404." What do I need to do?

First eliminate any scumware.
