It works fine with word. But when I try to save as pdf in excel - the sw
crashes (freezes). The file seems to be saved though - but I have to stop the
excel program in the job list.

When trying to open the pdf then after this - I can´t open in pdf reader -
the reader freezes.

When opening other pdfs (not saved by me) the reader works fine.

I did work smoothly for a while - until it suddenly for some weeks ago
stopped working. I have then reinstalled both vista, adobe reader and office
2007 - yet reinstallation did not solve the problem.

this is a huge problem..... And I can´t see why I should buy any third part
products when this has worked before.

Until you have your problem sorted out, consider using something like cutepdf:
