I recently uninstalled Microsoft OneCare Live and Windows Defender and
since that time I have problems. First the windows firewall did not
work but I was able to able to get it going again by working with the
registry. I was trying to download a free virus program (AVG) and found
that it was not possible. I tried other downloads and try to open and
save attachments but find I have the same problem. Downloads will work
but will not be present in the location I want them to be saved to
(Desktop) or A: I have had contact with Microsoft but after 2 weeks
they have not come up with a solution other than re installing OneCare.
But I can't do that either since I cant save or run the download.
Has anyone outhere had the same problem or any suggestions how to fix
it?
