I have XP Pro and have been using it trouble free for 2 years. All of a
sudden I cannot right click on the Programs that are open in the taskbar.
When I right click on them, they start blinking orange where before I had the
option to close them. I can right click everywhere else just like normal, but
not on the programs.

Please help.

Try running System Restore to revert back to a time when the computer was
working well.
