cannot replace bad file versions on system file check

I found multiple Windows File Protection errors under the
services log, half of them were 64004 -- cannot replace
bad version, or 62021, cannot save replacement file to
cache. I started trying to find out why I didn't have
network access, and now I find I can't restore correct
file versions. Is it an old SFC? Am I using the wrong
win2K cd to reinstall?
