Cannot remove additions to a signature.

I edited an existing signature.

Clicked on 'Advanced Edit' and Word was opened with the signature inside.
I changed the font and added an image (pasted it).

Saved the signature.

Created a new email and the signature was added.

I decided I did not like the image so I removed it using the steps above.

Created a new email and the signature was added but the image WAS STILL THERE.

I went into signature editing and the image is NOT THERE 100%.

But it is still there when the signature is added to a new email???
