Recently my cable connection to the internet stopped
working and the the problem has been narrowed down to the
TCP/IP setting. Ipconfig /release all doesn't release and
return no error message. When I try to renew the IP
address, I get the following message - FAILED TO RENEW IP
ADDRESS. The system control panel show's everything is OK
and network adapter is functioning properly. Has anybody
experienced this and have a solution?

I've had this problem and i find it usually works if you
uninstall the driver for the network card and re-install
it.
