Hard to say what the correct settings are without knowing who the provider
is. Cases in point:
For my 'pacbell.net' email accounts, outgoing is 'mail.pacbell.net',
incoming is 'pop.att.yahoo.com:995' w/SSL.
For my AOL email accounts, outgoing is 'smtp.aol.com:587', incoming is
'imap.aol.com:993' w/SSL.
For my Yahoo! Mail (Japan) accounts, outgoing is 'smtp.mail.yahoo.co.jp:465'
w/SSL, outgoing is 'pop.mail.yahoo.co.jp:995' w/SSL.
I can also use outgoing 'kozue:26', and incoming 'megumi'. Depends upon the
provider, and how they set up their servers for user connections.
Without knowing who provides your email service, there is no way to know
even where to point you for assistance. I can post links to the Yahoo! Mail
help pages, or the Windows Live Hotmail help pages, but those would be
useless to you if you don't use Yahoo! Mail, or Windows Live Hotmail.
