cannot recieve messages in bigpond account

Can anyone help me here, my setting are correct and the mail account works
fine on my xp pc. I have set up account using windows mail on my new pc
using vista. I don't get any error messages and have spoken to bigpond
twice, my setting are all correct. It is a POP3 account. I can send fine
and have been able to send and receive via a different email account set up
with the same client but I am not receiving any emails. I have sent
countless emails to test this and although it checks for new mail there is
never any new mail. When I go back to my old pc and check mail they are
there. I don't have them both open at the same time.

Any ideas?

ps. it is not my virus software, disabled that and made no difference, I
don't think it is even vista as tried it on a 3rd pc (xp) set up a new
account from scratch using outlook express with the same problem.

Got me stumped

Ensure that you have selected to "leave a copy of the messages on the
server" on *all* machines that are accessing the account.
Tools>accounts>your account>properties>advanced tab.
Also on *one* of the machines set a sensible number of days to delete
messages from the server, to avoid your server mailbox from over filling.

You apparantly need some setup outside Windows Mail also:

If Bigpond has much information on how to set up to use their
email servers, they didn't make available to the rest of the
internet. You may have to call them and ask.
