I was receiving email fine, but when trying to import other files, all of my
files have disapeared.
I am getting an error message:
An unknown error has occurred. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800C0148
An unknown error has occurred. Protocol: POP3, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800C0148

I have remove avg email scanning, but still not working.
Can anyone help?

That type of problem is usually caused by interference from a non-
compatible antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

Email scanning in any antivirus must be disabled, for reasons
explained here:
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tuto...ning/index.htm

If no improvement after disabling email scanning, consider upgrading
to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to suffering bad effects
from overly intrusive antivirus programs:

" Protocol: SMTP, Port: 0 "
Try enter 25 to your Port #, not 0

Protocol: POP3, Port: 0
Try enter 110 to Port #, not 0

I'm sure the OP doesn't actually have "0" entered into his port settings.
The "0" in the error message happens because his antivirus
interferes with retrieving the actual port number.
