I can send , but do not receive messages. This problem started about 4 weeks
ago. I did not make any change that I know of to set up or configuration and
before that it worked OK. How should I check for proper settings please.
Thank you.

So what happens when you try? The settings are supplied by your mail service.
There's no way for us to know what they should be since you haven't given any
details, not even your Outlook version or account type.

Hi Brian- sorry for not inclucing pertinent info. I am using Outlook 2002
version 10 build 6856. I realize settings for POP, STMP etc are from the
provider, I have not changed anything since problem began and I cannot reach
anyone at comcast.net to help me. When I press send/receive it shows that it
works and I get no error messages. supposedly it passes the test message
also, but I never receive it. My mail is not going directly to spam or to
trash. What now?
Thank you.

Brian- I also noticed today that I get a pop up asking for a network password
which I do not have. I suppose this may be the issue, can I change the
password somehow?
