I have decided to change my default email program from Eudora 7.1 to Outlook
2002. I can send from Outllok, but my new emails still go to Eudora. I
have followed all the steps in Article 286040 - twice. I don't know what
else to try. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thnak you.
David

With Eudora closed send a test mail to yourself (I dont know if 2002
features a test accounts option)
Ensure you have OL set to poll for mail every 10 mins (Options)
Any errors?

2002 does have the test account option. Test worked fine, no errors, but the
test email went to Eudora, not OL. I didn't see where to sent the polling
option.

I dont use OL2002, but I suspect it would be under Tools>Options........look
for Send/Receive on starting/opening OL; also there will be another option
for 'check for mail every x minutes' do not set x for less than 10 mins

I've never used Eudora, but if you start Eudora it will receive your mail,
unless there are no accounts configured.

I found it. It was set for 5 mins. I changed it to 10 mins., and made sure
Eudora was not started. My email is now going to OL. Thanks for the help.
