I am unable to receive emails in outlook 2007 when an excel file with macros
is attached. There appears to be no problems with receiving emails with any
other type of attachment, including excel files without macros.

What happens when you try?
It probably gets filtered out either by your enterprise level virus scanner
or your local virus scanner. At this level of detail, it is impossible to
tell. Best would be to contact your mail administrator and ask if any such
restrictions are in place.

I get a receiving error that the connection to the server was interrupted. I
have both my webmail provider and company email administrator looking at it.
The email comes through the webmail fine but gets lost when I try to bring it
into Outllook. Thanks for you help, we'll continue to check Outlook and
virus scanner settings.
