cannot read one instance of this recurring appointment.

I have one office desktop which is installed office 2003 including Outlook
2003 which is linked with Exchange server. I often remotely access this
desktop to check my Outlook through VPN. These days, when I open Outlook
through Remote Desktop Connection from my home computer, the error message
shows " Cannot read one instance of this recurring appointment. Close any
open appointments and try again, and recreate the appointment".

But there is no error message when I log on this desktop locally at office.

Does someone here help me to fix this issue?
