Cannot read files on cd/dvd drive

When I insert a disclogged in as Administrator I can read
the files no problem-- any files, any cd. When I'm logged
in as myself (also an admin. account) the autoplay will
kick in (with self running installers & music discs &
dvds), but I CANNOT browse the disk in Windows Explorer
(or My Computer, etc.). I click on the drive letter & the
pointer jumps away to select another valid drive letter.
This is a new issue, on a fairly new install of XP Pro. I
tried switching drives, but to know avail. Thanks for
helping.
