Cannot publish over wireless network

I can publish my new web direct using BT broadband, created in FP 2000,
using FTP in FP 2000 or Terrapin - BUT:

However, my laptop freezes at somepoint when I attempt to publish over a
seemingly perfect Wi-Fi network - consists only Laptop and Desktop
(connected to BT broadband). I am running Norton Internet Security and Virus
checker. Disabling them at the Laptop does not help and I do not feel I dare
disable them altogether. I can publish direct from the laptop with Norton
running.

I notice that just transferring a single largish file ~ 1Mb in Terrapin also
freezes my laptop. I have
ticked Passive Data Connections.

Any suggestions gratefully received. Running Win XP Home both computers.

Peter.

Sound like the Wi-Fi connection just isn't fast enough to handle the file
sizes you are attempt to upload.

Even w/ broadband FP may have problems w/ files over 1 MB
Make a subweb for the large media files and FTP those files (don't open the subweb in FP)
