Here is what helped me:

the short way
Log on as Admin
1. use the uninstaller from adobe

2. download the full version from
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/downl...ShockwaveFlash
it just installs the player for all the alternative browsers
3. and now manually install the active x control ( looks like this fails on
your machine )
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashpl..._9_ActiveX.zip
Hope this helps, on my machine it only worked with manuall active x install.
