Cannot properly disconnect from host

Since reinstalling my firewall on my host system (Windows XP Pro SP2), I've
been able to connect to it and use it remotely via RDC. However, when I try
to disconnect the normal way (click Start->Disconnect->Disconnect), the
"disconnect" dialog box closes as it normally did, but the connection does
not close. The only way I can close the connection is to click the "X" in
the drop-down RDC bar at the top of the screen. Then, a popup appears
warning me that programs that are currently running will continue to run. I
click OK and the session disconnects.

I never receive any type of error nor have I found any entries in the Event
Logs.

I've tried turning off the firewall (Comodo Personal Firewall), but it still
does the same thing.

This is not a critical issue. It's more annoying than anything else.

Any help would be very appreciated!

Have you tried disconnecting by pressing Ctrl+Alt+End?

I have not tried that. However, just to be clear, I can disconnect by
clicking the "X" in the drop-down notification bar (the bar at the top of the
RDC screen that tells you you're connected to the host). It's just the
normal Start/Disconnect/Disconnect that doesn't work.

Clicking the "X" will break the Remote Desktop link without
closing the current session on the host. Pressing Ctrl+Alt+End
will log you out of the host session, then break the link.

Thanks! I'll do that. Do you have any idea, however, why it's acting that
way. As a consultant, this sort of thing drives me nuts! It was working
until I upgraded the version of Comodo and had to completely redo the rules.
Yet, when I turn off the firewall, it still does the same thing. Any insight
would be appreciated.

Thanks for the help!

Sorry, I do not know the reason for this behaviour. In such cases
I poke around until I either find the cause or an acceptable
work-around.

I did finally discover that this function IS working. However, it takes
almost 2 minutes before it disconnects where other hosts that I connect to
disconnect almost immediately!

If anyone else has run into this, I'd love to hear how you resolved it!
