When I select an e-mail in the preview pane and go to FILE -> print, the
entire section where I would select a printer is grayed out. However, if I
click on the Print icon at the top of the screen within the reading pane
preview, it will work fine. Also, if I open the E-mail, I can go to FILE ->
Print and it will allow me to select a printer and print fine. Really weird.

Any idea?

Thanks,

That appears to be by design (though I don't know why). I have
Win98/Outlook 2000 on my desktop at work and WinXP Pro/Outlook 2003 on my
tablet and the both work exactly this way. I'm curious about the Print
Icon; the only one I have in both applications is located in the Standard
toolbar and clicking it sends the print job to the "Default" printer I have
selected in WindowsXP, I'm not offered a screen with selectable items.

yes, you are correct. It is by design.

Thanks!
