I had a big problem playing old dos games, actually it
was playing 16bit games. I even bought a shell program
to run 16bit games in WinXP because they wouldn't work,
even with the compatiblity wizard.
The ultimate culprit was WinXP had compressed some files
in the System32 folder that WinXP needed to run 16bit
games. I uncompressed all the files in the Windows
folder and have never had a problem with that since.
