Has anyone come up with the solution for computers that are unreachable after
installing SP3? The computer with SP3 works fine, but it cannot be pinged or
managed from another computer on the network. There are lots of threads on
the topic, but no solutions that I can find. This happens routinely on our
network. Uninstalling XP3 fixes the issue and sometimes starting the computer
in safe mode, then restarting normally will fix the issue. Very annoying
problem... in our case it has nothing to do with the Windows firewall as it
is policied out
