Network Topology: workgroup, W2k3srv(DHCP,DNS,WINS) + 10wxp client
problem: 2(pcB,pcD) client cannot ping a pcA, all computer windows firewall
including ICS services is disabled

question: how's the pc resolve in the workgroup enviroment? use NetBIOS over
TCP/IP? WINS? if so, what's the resolve priority?

I use nbtstat -a pcA form pcB, no host is found, but in others is ok

question: how to let pcD to access pcA?

Can you ping the pcA by IP?

I will check firewall or any security software first. Also please check this
search result.

troubleshooting ping issuesIf you can't ping outside IP, make sure you have
correct gateway. If you can't ping outside computer name or web name, check
the DNS settings. ...
