When I try to log in to my web directly on the server, it asks for my name
and password. I have used the same username and password for a long time.
My login is the Windows User login and I have full administrator privileges.
This login/password will allow me to FTP to my site. I have tried going into
ISS and editing the Author tab on my site's properties. My user name is
listed along with the Administrators login of my server. Yet, it will not
let log into my site. I will certainly appreciate any help.

Opening a site live requires the server extensions, in this case they appear
to be corrupted or not installed.

Uninstall/Reinstall them, and avoid using any FTP program (including FTP
mode in Frontpage) to reduce the risk of corrupting them again.

Resintall them through your host account control panel, or ask your
host/support.

Is this your own server? i.e you're running IIS on Windows 2000 or XP
Professional? Or is this a remote host?
