Cannot open quickbooks after installing XP sp2

Help. I can't open quickbooks anymore after installing sp2 for XP. I get
the error of "This version of quickbooks reqauires IE 6.0 or later." I
have tried reinstalling IE and SP2. No luck. It's as if the registry has
been corrupted. I have reinstalled qbooks. When I try to install Ie from
the quickbooks CD, it says there is a registry problem. When I try to
install IE again, the message that a newer version is already on my computer.
