Cannot open pdf, only "save as"

System:
Win2k
IE 6
Adobe Reader 9

Issue:
When i select a .pdf hyperlink i am prompted to "open, save or cancel".
Upon selecting open i then am prompted to "save as" and can only view the
pdf if it is saved locally.

In the configuration for Adobe Reader, did you enable it to display PDF
files inside the web browser? Is its add-on listed as enabled when you
look in IE's config under Programs?
