cannot open pdf files

's Computer Specifications

I have a new laptop. It came with Windows XP Home Edition. Adobe Reader 6.0
installed.
From a few days I am unable to open pdf files from the web. But I can open
pdf files saved on the hard disc.
Can it be some setup problem?
