For some reason, in Windows Mail, PDF documents sent as attachments are no
longer able to be opened. I have to save them first (save attachments), then
navigate to the file in windows explorer.
This just started a couple of weeks ago, and I can't seem to see a solution.
Any thoughts?

*Thanks. There were 10 files there referencing PDF, so no sure which one to
tamper with. Maybe I should e-mail the provider?

Thanks fro the reply.
My question was not aiming at the currently used favorite browser.
It was just about whether IE8 is *INSTALLED*.

As to my experience installing IE8 causes serious troubles with opening
attachments in WinMail.

The problem appears with all types of files. IE8 is the culprit!
It's not a problem with file-associations as you have seem to have had
in mind.

I am having a similar problem but I do not have IE8 yet (still on IE7). I
can't open attachments at all.
